Not sure if it was a slow news day or I underestimated the power of the internet but this whole thing got real wild, real quick.

With the mind-boggling number of responses, retweets and support from famous Irish celebrities and public figures-I am forever grateful. At this time, my tweet has been viewed 282,210 times, with over 2.5k likes/retweets (!!) I truly want to find the owner and for this story to have a happy ending. I have no leads so far.

While I have a *~ GLiMMeR ~* of spotlight, I do want to explain why I was in this charity shop where I found this dress to begin with. I was looking for a birthday outfit!! And I was onto my 4th charity shop of the day. Thrift shopping, buying secondhand clothing has become standard to me. One reason being that I actually dread running into someone who is wearing the same thing as me. I actually have anxiety even thinking about it.

But besides my personal reasons, I do want to resonate a topic that's always on my mind. The fashion industry is the second-leading cause of pollution in the world. The age of fast fashion and disposable clothing is here: cheap manufacturing overseas, mass producing of synthetic fabrics, pesticides in cotton farming, toxic chemical wastes from dyes etc.

I don't have a solution on how to end the problem. We're all guilty of it. Including myself. I think it'll only get worse. Learning about this while studying fashion in college, it made me second guess walking into a Forever 21 or Zara.

Buying used clothing is a small start. I know that it doesn't sound very glamorous but I promise when you find a good find, because you eventually will, you will be very pleased with yourself.

My vintage 'digging' has become a fixation. You should of seen how many thrift stores I dragged my dad into when we did our Northwest road trip. Or that the highlight of my Berlin trip last month was finding a suede skirt for 10 euro. I have become obsessive over fabric content, apparel construction, country in which the garment was made, and imagining what type of person owned it before me.

I am determined to find the owner of the locket, I hope that with reading this that maybe next time you need a new outfit, that you'll go to your local charity shop and find a garment that you're in love with. And check the pockets.

Hi From Dublin!

INSPIRATIONFiona LeahyComment

My mind is buzzing. Always. I constantly feels like a Fiat 500 is doing a crash test that is happening in my brain. On my mind lately is how my style is evolving. I don't want to make this dramatic or a post about *~FiNDiNG MySeLF~*; but the way I dress has always been a reflection of my identity. I recently moved; I left Los Angeles and moved to Dublin, Ireland. When I told people I was moving, many people asked what I was running away from. And to tell the absolute truth: nothing. My life in Los Angeles was an absolute dream. And sometimes being too comfortable is uncomfortable, especially for a person who's mind is buzzing faster than she can even comprehend. That's kind of my problem- I get distracted so easily. And I know that an attention disorder sounds like a total millennial disease but I've got it pretty severely. So I'm here, on the other side of the world and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing but at least I have the time to sit and write rather than attending another chicken wing special happy hour. And I hope while I'm here I start to write more.

Before I get completely off topic, here is what has been buzzing in my mind lately style-wise. So much plaid, mixing prints, sneakers (haha coming from me), off-the-shoulder jackets, lob-like hair, crochet sweaters, peachy lipstick, oversized coats, nude colors, and fairytale-like shimmery highlighter.

A few styles on Tumblr that I love rn. I'm not sure if this at all makes sense and/or correlates with my above description; that'll just help you understand the mess in my mind. I'd love if you'd share your fav styles rn with me too.
