I can't really say that it is winter here, but like most basic Southern California girls I'm going to pretend that there is some significant seasonal change to make an excuse to buy another slouchy sweater. Lately, i've been really into a 70's style. I have every intention to bring back the biggest flared jeans matched with a cable knit over-sized sweater. I saw an old friend recently and he noticed how I was wearing a black dress and said that I never used to wear black and said "LA did that to you." Well yiiiiiikes, that sounds a little bit morbid. But really, I think I've just finally learned that black is a good investment. So actually, I'm just getting smart. I used to buy anything except for black, but now I just find it more convenient. My life is non-stop. Like I don't think a normal human could relate to how fast-paced my life is sometimes. I do so many outfit changes in my car that my trunk has eternally turned into another closet and I have fully accepted that strangers have watched me switch shirts at a red light. I'll wear a black dress to work, and be able to throw on a leather jacket and meet for happy hour later. It's always important too to have extra shoe options too. This winter my staple style pieces are a long sleeve black turtle neck, neutral faux furs, high-waisted vintage denim, over-the-knee boots, layered costume jewelry and baggy sweaters. Anyways, here's a few inspiration pictures that have been on my mind lately. Enjoy xx
This Fall, fringe is having a comeback. And the only basic thing you need besides pumpkin spiced lattes, is this crossbody made out of the softest leather by Camino Brands. All bags are made in California by a San Francisco based company. Isn't that amazing?!
It still doesn't feel like Fall in LA. The heat wave is still real and I'm in complete denial and can't get myself to take off my new Highland boots by my newest seasonal boyfriend, Stuart Weitzman. The quality of my life significantly has changed every time I put these puppies on. I'm trying to come up with a halloween costume around these, any ideas on what I should be?!
Saying farewell to the Me Undies pop-up shop on Abbot Kinney last night. Had so much fun with my SF babes in town for the weekend. Photographed with gal pals Ariana Lauren from Fashion Born, make-up artist Christina Aguayo . Photos taken by Ryan Chua.
Totally overly head over heels in love with this floral romper I'm wearing. I'm drawn to anything floral; long rompers are a favorite too. They're such an easy go-to outfit with no effort. I wore them out with sandals for a more casual look since the event was in Venice, but I would usually wear them it out with wedges for a more prominent flared bottom. Romper is by Novella Royale ( Southern California based), quartz ring by Androgyny Designs, turquoise ring by Vanessa Mooney, necklace from Urban Outfitters, sandals from Steve Madden, and purse by Marc by Marc Jacobs.
