Honestly I don't know if burgundy is considered in style right now, but i'm really into it. Dark reds are usually a Fall time thing but I recently dyed my hair a shade of crimson (which is sadly fading terribly) so i've been trying to match. One of my go-to easy looks is always a graphic tee and high-waisted jeans with booties. I recently splurged on these Margot Boots by Rag and Bone that went on sale. Paired with my new vintage-feel shirt (half linen/half cotton=dreamy) by Current/Elliot and my favorite black skinny jeans by Paige.
It's finally starting to get a little bit brisk here in Los Angeles. But obviously not that cold if I'm still able to wear a dress with bare legs. One of my favorite throw together go-to looks is wearing an oversized dress with booties. The style is chic and totally effortless. And if you really want to go a step further and look like you have your life together, just brush your hair. I'm sporting a pair of velvet shoes that make me think of Lana del Rey and blueberry pie all at the same time.
Had a fun day with my sister today at Barbara's Brewery, one of the most hidden gems in East LA. If you like artist's lofts, succulents and an IPA, you have to venture out here sometime. Dress from LF, bag by Ted Baker London, shoes by Report Signature, and sunglasses by Wildfox Couture.
Attending New York Fashion Week has always been some fantasy dream of mine that has always been on the top of my list. Right up there with scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef with my dad or hiking the glaciers in Patagonia; somehow watching haute couture walking in motion down a runway is equivalent. So being here in New York during this season, is a feeling I can't even describe. I almost don't have words to tell you how magical it is to be in The Big Apple sharing a mutual excitement of energy with every other fashionista that feels the same way.
I will write more about my experiences and favorite new collections, but for now I am in absolute awe and still taking it in. I can tell you, that Mr. Alexander Wang can have my first born child after SS16.
Wearing the Neria playsuit from the fall collection of Ted Baker London. I have lived in this thing since I bought it, and I'm obsessed with how both fancy and casual it can be. Accompanied by pony hair Isabel Marant Shane black wedge pumps that have been with me for multiple seasons. And lastly, my bag is the first ever designer bag I've ever purchased when I was 16. And of course, it is teal. I love how the color pops my entire look; also I love how it still looks like it is in mint condition after all these years (thank you leather cleaner). Bag by Marc by Marc Jacobs, SS10 collection. Also sporting a temporary tattoo in celebration of the new Chanel 'Boyfriend' watch. I think I need a boyfriend in order to buy the real thing. Just kiiiiitten.
Photos by my dearest friend/photographer Ryan Chua. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
There's two times a year that I'm inevitably depressed and lay in bed wishing I was on the other side of the country. I have guiltily skipped classes in the past to watch live footage of the Marc Jacobs runway show sitting in the parking lot of my school. If you're stuck on the wrong coast like me, here's a few items that might make your week less dreadful. If you were in New York you wouldn't be able to enjoy floral maxi dresses or show off your pedicure, your fingers would probably feel like ice cubes, you would have chapped lips and your hair would probably not look that good tbh. Go lay in the sun and get an overdose of vitamin D and make everyone in the big apple jelly.
